I had an amazing time photographing Shaina, owner and founder of Molly J, and her family in their Marin home. How fun are these guys? Their dog made some very memorable guest appearances too.

I love Molly J. for several reasons. First and foremost, they make a super tasty CBD gumdrop, and I think we learned during the last year that everyone can use a little bit of extra chill. Especially moms!

And pretty too, right? I love the luxury feel of the packaging. When I got these film scans back from the lab, this one instantly became one of my favorite film shots of all time (spoiler alert, I say that a lot, but still, all the heart eyes here). Medium format film creates a beautiful “pop”. Some people describe it as almost a 3-d effect. It also has a way of appearing both soft and sharp simultaneously. All part of the film magic.

I also love that Shaina keeps it real. There's an authenticity to her brand, Molly J, that is so refreshing. She speaks honestly about life, motherhood, and work. Plus some hilarious memes. What more could you want?
